Program Sequence
Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to the hotel, overnight.
City tour in Marrakech with the most important monuments and art treasures. Visit of the old medina with its famous main market Djemaa el’ Fna.
Our drive south leads to Imlil. On the way we visit the weekly market in Asni. In Imlil we meet our companions. From now on, luggage will be transported by mules. Meals will be prepared by the local guides overnight in Imlil.
On old mule tracks, over the Mzzik pass, past oaks and junipers, we reach Tizi Oussem. The tent camp will be set up by the river in the shade of walnut trees.
The route goes through numerous passes – Tizi-N-Tougdat, Tizi-N-Iguidi or Tizi-N-Tfuright. We have fantastic views of picturesque valleys and breathtaking peaks. One night in a tent each at Tisghar and Tindoudine
The path leads through charming Berber villages such as Aguerda or Ait Moussa, with their typical Berber architecture, nested and stacked simple houses. Through the stony river bed of the Taflka Canyon we reach Majou, where we set up camp.
Switchbacks lead up to the Zaout Pass, which offers spectacular views of the Anti-Atlas. On stony paths we continue to Makhfaman, where we spend the night in tents.
The route goes through Berber villages to Assarag. Overnight tent at Assarag.
Today’s destination is the mountain lake Lac d’Ifni. We cross the villages of Amssouzert and Ait Igrane and climb the ridge to the mountain lake.
The ascent to Djebel Toubkal, the highest mountain in Morocco (4,167 m), begins at the mountain lake. On day 11 we cross the Tizi-N-Ouannoums pass and arrive at Neltner, our camp for the next two days. From here we climb the
